Part-Time Teller (North Apollo)

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Training:  A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum.

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the paying and receiving function of the branch office; coordinating work within the office, as well as with other Bank departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Essential Duties:

  1. Performs a variety of duties to support the paying and receiving function of the branch office of which the following are illustrative:
  2. Greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  3. Maintains an awareness of new business opportunities with customers; actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel.
  4. Accepts deposits of various account types.
  5. Cashes checks within approved authority and operating policy.
  6. Accepts utility bill payments as appropriate.
  7. Sells Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, EE Bonds, etc.
  8. Accepts loan payments, safe deposit box rent, and other related payments.
  9. Processes night deposits.
  10. Maintains an approved level of cash; turns in excess and mutilated cash.
  11. Prepares daily settlement and proof of cash transactions; balances cash drawer accurately and efficiently on a daily basis.
  12. Scans daily work for transaction posting.
  13. Prepares reports relating to the function, e.g., currency transaction, BSA reports, etc.
  14. Maintains supplies and an awareness of Teller supply inventory control.
  15. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the office as well as with other Bank departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  16. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  17. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  18. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
  19. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  20. Assists the immediate supervisor with various administrative tasks.

Operations Representative

Elderton State Bank is seeking applicants for the position of Operations Representative at our Main Office in Elderton, PA.  Applicants must have strong communication skills (both oral and written) and be customer and personal service oriented. General Responsibilities:

Responsible for the daily tasks associated with processing of ACH transactions, wire transactions, processing NSF items, coordinating with various departments within the bank to help with transactions and reports.

Essential Duties:

  1. Performs daily ACH processing and returns.
  2. Processes NSF returns and prepare notices.
  3. Researches deposit account information; may process inquiries from customers, customer service personnel, and other Bank departments.
  4. Processes or verifies wire transfers.
  5. Processes and delivers mail to post office.
  6. Assists in the proper maintenance of accounts.
  7. Prints various internal checks for processing i.e. CD interest, Club accounts, escrow
  8. Reviews various reports daily to ensure proper handling of transactions.
  9. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  10. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Customer Service Specialist

Elderton State Bank is seeking applicants for the position of Customer Service Specialist at our main office in Elderton, PA. Candidates must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills.  Prior banking experience is preferred. Experience with CSI NuPoint and CSI New Account Console is a plus. Essential Duties

  1. Provides a broad range of services to customers of the branch office as follows:
    • Serves as an active member of the office customer service team; jointly establishes quantitative customer service and sales objectives, with the assigned supervisor, on an annual basis; this activity is to be integrated with the office’s annual marketing/sales plan.
    • Solicits new business from present and prospective customers; maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
    • Makes “outside” sales and customer service calls on present and prospective customers within the office’s market area.
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Bank products and services to ascertain customer needs.
    • Provides direct service to customers of the Bank with respect to deposit and other miscellaneous products and services.
    • Completes the documentation on all types of new deposit accounts.
    • Assists customers in obtaining specialized services from other Bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
  2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  3.
